ANDY LOXTON

Owner / Operator / Instructor

Andy is the founder of Oceania Rescue after 27 years working in the rescue and whitewater industry, guiding on various rivers in North America, South America, and Australasia. He has led multiple river expeditions overseas, in Far North Queensland and has instructed numerous whitewater raft guide courses on the Tully River. Mentoring and training others, particularly in the rescue industry is Andy’s passion.

Meanwhile, he is always learning something new, whether it be his previous work as a Helicopter Rescue Air Crewman or instructing for various Foreign Aid Programs in Papua New Guinea. Since finding the Rescue 3 brand in 2005, he has continued to grow in support of this framework, having been an instructor for over 14 years and is thrilled to be a training provider for Rescue 3 International.

In addition to instructing, Andy has a strong medical background and is currently working casually as a Medical Emergency Safety Officer (MESO) in the mines, responding to medical emergencies, firefighting, and mines rescue.
