SAFE WORK IN WATER (SWIW)
The Safe Working In Water (SWIW) course is designed for people tasked with working in water who will need a self- and co-worker rescue capability using basic rescue techniques, e.g. throw bags, wading techniques and reach poles. This course is designed for industry workers, including in mining, health and safety, construction, marine and port, road and bridge maintenance and power companies.
This course offers a higher-level rescue capability than the Safe Work Near Water (SWNW) course.

Prerequisites Minimum age 18, must be a confident swimmer

WHITEWATER TECHNICIAN - FOUNDATION
The Whitewater Rescue Foundation course is designed for anyone starting out in whitewater with little or no experience. It is suited to kayakers, canoeists, packrafters, stand up paddle boarders and is also perfect for adventure tour guides, educators or anyone requiring a basic level of water safety and rescue skills in a moderate whitewater environment. This course covers the foundation skills used in all our water safety and rescue courses.

WATER AND FLOOD AWARENESS (AWR)
A classroom-based course, designed to provide personnel who may be working near water with sufficient knowledge to be aware of the hazards created by this environment, and develop an understanding of water rescue techniques. The Water and Flood Awareness course is for those supporting rescue teams. The comparable course for personnel within industry who may be called to work near water is Water Awareness and Safety (WAS).

SAFE WORK NEAR WATER (SWNW)
The Safe Working Near Water course is designed for people tasked with working near water and who will be issued a lifejacket but will not be expected to intentionally enter the water, e.g. construction industry workers, road and bridge maintenance workers.

FLOOD OPERATIONS (FO)
The Flood Operations course was designed to provide emergency planners and emergency workers with the necessary knowledge and techniques to enable them to assess and work in flood environments.
Flood Operations is perfect for those who will be working in heavy flood conditions, such as hydrologists, dam workers, road workers, and utilities repair workers. The course is a mixture of theory input and in water practical sessions.

BASIC WATER RESCUER (BWR)
Designed for personnel who may be deployed to a basic (still) water environment, such as lakes, ponds and canals, where they may be required to undertake rescues. The course is a mixture of theory and practical sessions. The content includes the use of a variety of rescue equipment.
