Gear checklist

For practical on river courses, the following equipment is required. If you do not have this gear, please advise at the time of booking.

  • (approved for white water and in good condition)

    Helmet

    PFD/ Jacket (with quick release)

    Waist throw bag

    Whistle

  • Appropriate water gear depending on location/ season (see River Temperatures in FAQ)

    Appropriate water footwear with good walking soles (wading boots, running shoes)

    Neoprene gloves (not required, but nice)

    Prescription glasses strap, disposable contacts and/ or prescription goggles (see FAQ)

  • Sunscreen (zinc is highly recommended for the face)

    Cap may be used under the helmet, providing the helmet fit is not compromised.

    Sunglasses NOT recommended on river

  • Towel

    Change of dry clothes

    Drink bottle (1L)

    Gear bag to keep your stuff organised

    Garbage bag for your wet stuff

  • Shelter/ Rooftop tent/ Tent/ Swag

    Sleeping bag/ mat/ pillow

    Headtorch

    Knife, fork, spoon, cup, plate/ bowl

    Insect repellent

    Personal Items

    Rain jacket recommended

    Food.
